Pain Free Time

More than TENS instruments

Avazzia BEST™ devices are Microcurrent Biofeedback Electro Stimulation Technology devices. They are not just TENS devices.
The idea of TENS relies on a constant, externally generated signal sent to block or turn off pain receptor switches (gate theory).  TENS instruments work like a one way-street sending the same signal to the body, no matter how the body is reacting.  BEST™ instruments are based upon the development of a cybernetic feedback loop.  In this loop, we have a two way street of information – a signal goes from the BEST™  device through the skin to speak to the Central Nervous System & Brain.
A response to that signal is then measured and a fresh signal is chosen from a ‘library’ of pre-selected proven choices by the on-board computer  Then, this new signal is sent out based upon the body’s response- this happens many times per second, much like the body speaks to itself.  This is a two-way interactive dialogue.  Very different than a ‘do, do it, do it’ message that is sent via TENS.

 RELEASE Pain

1970's Technology

Low intensity, higher current, long duration pulses

Voltage Range: 0-40 volts

Amperage Range: Milliamps (10-3 Amps)

Signals in the frequency range of 1Hz to 100 Hz

Square waveform, mono-phasic or biphasic symmetrical or asymmetrical

Signaling is typically the same continuous pattern.

No biofeedback

Develops neurological habituation and accommodation, which severely limits effectiveness of pain management

Prolonged duty cycle, long durations of “on”
operation compared to “off” condition

TENS is constant voltage signal with variable
changes in current and resistance/ impedance
over the pulse interval.

External control with no bio-feedback
modulation of the output signal. TENS
signaling is constant although some models
have a fixed external program that varies
signaling to resist accommodation or
habituation.

Effectiveness often stops when treatment ends

21st Century Technologies

High intensity, very low current, burst pulses

Voltage Range: 0-450 volts

Amperage Range: Microamps (10-6 Amps)

Signals in the frequency range of 1Hz to 1000 Hz

Damped asymmetrical biphasic sinusoidal waveform

Signaling always varies based upon changes in impedance of the tissue

The AVAZZIA BEST device forms a somatic biofeedback between the device and the tissue
.

Somatic biofeedback prevents neurological habituation and accommodation, for more effective pain management.

Short duty cycle with BEST. Typical unit is “off”over 99% of the time & emits burst signals less than 1% of the treatment time.

BEST delivers signals with voltages and
currents varying as the impedance of the skin is
changed as result to prior stimulation pulses.

Cybernetic loop whereby BEST and the
patient’s neurological system form a mutually
interacting communication and control system
via automatic biofeedback and impedance
signaling of affected tissues

Effectiveness lasts several hours, days, months, or years after treatmentMost changes are permanent.

Conventional TENS technology is based on the “pain gate” theory. That is, they apply sufficient electrical charge to the “A” and “B” fibers of the nervous system to saturate them and thereby block the communication of pain to the brain. Often, when the stimulation is removed, the pain returns in a short period of time.

Avazzia BEST™ (Biofeedback Electro Stimulation Technology) is based on a completely different operating theory. BEST™ devices generate electrical impulses that are physiologically similar to neurological impulses observed in the  body's own “C” nerve fibers.  These fibers are embedded in tissues and consist of 85% of all the nerves found in the body and also to "fast” pain blocking "A" fibers.   BEST™ devices communicate with the neuro-endocrine system through direct touch to the skin, sending a signal through the epidermis and dermis skin layers into underlying fascia planes and is then transmitted through connective tissue to the C and A nerve fibers.

BEST™ devices differ in that they are constantly updating the information between body response and information sent from the instrument to assist in balancing the tissue in question.  BEST™ also differs in that it uses advanced programming and modern high-speed microprocessors to initiate, continue and ‘decide’ which signals to send next.  The specially patented signals, programs  and algorithms used are found exclusively through this BEST™ series of devices.  The company making these advances, Avazzia, is constantly upgrading their software and hardware to ensure that the most up to date information in the scientific world is being utilized to deliver the best and most effective signals available in the market place.

BEST™ Technology and  Conventional TENS were both developed for the control of chronic and post-operative pain by saturating subcutaneous nerve receptors with low-intensity, electrical stimulation in order to effect a specific dermatome or anatomical segment where the main source of pain resides. TENS delivers constant voltage with fluctuating current and resistance/impedance whereas BEST™ delivers a driving signal based upon the change in micro-current and impedance over the active pulse interval.  Experience the difference yourself by contacting us.  Contact
